Staff members at Pacolet Elementary worked hard for months to raise more than $8,000 for a book vending machine for students! The project, funded through a Donors Choose grant, was unveiled last month to students. They earn book vending tokens to reward them along the way as they meet their goals. the tokens can be used to 'purchase' a book. The goal is for students to choose their own book while also rewarding them and encouraging a love for reading! The board recognized Ms. Emily Montjoy, Ms. Caroline Davis, Ms. Elizabeth Rogers, Ms. April Barnhill, Ms. Anna Buice and Ms. Kristen Hammitt. Ms. Tacheria Brooks, Assistant Principal, and Ms. Allison Berry, Principal, also helped to make this opportunity a reality for students.
