On Friday, our students enjoyed a visit from the author of "Danny's Gifts", Spencer Wyatt!

Our 4K classes have learned about Earth Day last week. We talked about different ways to protect and take care of our planet.

Mark your calendars!

We would like to say a BIG thank you to our amazing office staff, Ms. Shehan, Ms. Bailey and Ms. Jordan for all they do for our students and faculty each day. Pacolet Elementary is truly blessed with the best!

We are so excited to welcome Spencer Wyatt to Pacolet Elementary this Friday!

It was an "egg-citing" Friday for Mrs. Mathis and Mrs. Snapp's 4K class. Students participated in a unique egg hunt where they were assigned a specific color of eggs to find. This made the hunt more challenging and fair for each student.

Join us for the Healthy Family Eating Class here at Pacolet Elementary on May 6th from 5:30 to 7:30. Students and their families are encouraged to join!

There is nothing that brings joy like playing in the snow! Even though it was spring picture day, the students in Mrs. Mathis and Mrs. Snapp’s 4K class loved playing in the winter weather. A few students were lucky enough to catch a snowflake or two on their tongues.

Ms. Farley and Ms. Barbara's 3K had some Valentine's Day fun. We had a delicious snack and made some valentines cards for loved ones.

Friends are so sweet and together the students in Mrs. Mathis and Mrs. Snapp’s 4K class made a special treat to celebrate Valentine’s Day!

Want to get more involved as a parent at PES? We are looking for parents who would be interested in joining the Parent Council as Pacolet Elementary School Representatives.
The Parent Council aims to involve families in their children's education by including their voices in planning and guiding Full-Service Community Schools programs. We are looking for two parents who are eager to advocate for the development of programs and initiatives impacting their child’s education. There will be two parent representatives from each of the schools Full-Service is partnered with: Pacolet Elementary, Cowpens Elementary, Clifdale Middle School, Mary H. Wright Elementary, Cleveland Academy, and Carver Middle School.
Meetings will be held once a month for two hours at the Spartanburg Academic Movement Office. Parents will receive a $50 stipend per meeting. While the exact timing of the meetings is still to be determined, they will likely be scheduled after work hours to accommodate most people’s schedules.
If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Morgan Kimbrell at: mkimbrell@learnwithsam.org.

The WaterShed Ecology Center offers educational outreach programs for students. Today, our second graders enjoyed learning about animals and their needs.
