At the Spartanburg School District Three Board meeting on May 15, 2023, the District Three Board of Trustees unanimously voted to apply for the Community Eligibility Provision, which will allow District Three to provide a free breakfast and lunch to every student, every school day. If approved by the state, this will go into effect beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. The contract will initially be for four years and is renewable.
