Congratulations to Ms. Hammett, a 3rd grade teacher at Pacolet Elementary, for being 1 of only 10 teachers statewide selected to participate in the Fall 2023 Strategies for Teacher Advancement and Renewal Seminar (STAR)!
Ms. Hammett was selected through a rigorous application process. The seminar will be held at Seabrook Island on October 30-November 3, 2023.
STAR is a bi-annual reward and recognition program for outstanding South Carolina veteran teachers sponsored by the Foundation for Professional Development and Palmetto State Teachers Association. The program was founded by the Palmetto State Teachers Association to enhance the teachers’ commitment to the education profession and to provide them with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Safe to say that her students more than agree she is deserving of the honor!
