Sam Dawson sworn in as new District Three Trustee

Spartanburg School District Three is pleased to introduce the newest member of our District Three Board of Trustees, Mr. Sam Dawson.

Mr. Dawson was sworn in last night by Senator Shane Martin, alongside members of his family and Superintendent Dr. Julie Fowler. He will serve the remainder of Ms. Cathy Voelker’s term.

Mr. Dawson is a District Three graduate, Broome High School Class of 1992. He graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business

Administration in 1996 and completed his Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb in 2002.

As an employee of Denny’s Inc. for over 27 years, he works as the Director of Business Development and Portfolio. In addition to his professional background, Mr. Dawson has been actively involved in community initiatives and his church, Covenant Methodist.

He is married to his wife of 26 years, Jaime, also an educator and graduate of District Three, Broome High School Class of 1994. Their children, Reece, Class of 2019, and Jeb, Class of 2022, are both proud products of District Three.

Mr. Dawson is looking forward to working with the other dedicated School Board Trustees as they serve our schools and communities.
